The Department of Mathematics is one of the main departments in the Faculty of Science, and aims to prepare generations of students and researchers in various fields of mathematics that align with the needs of the labor market. The department also works to enrich the educational process and contribute to raising the scientific level and technological in the fields of mathematics, and it teaches students from other departments in the Faculty of Science some courses that support their basic courses.
Description
The duration of study in the department is eight (8) semesters, containing 50 courses and amounting to one hundred and thirty-seven (139) study units, at a rate of 181 study hours, during which the student is awarded a Bachelor’s degree in Mathematics.

The department aspires to achieve outstanding outcomes in mathematics, and seeks to provide distinguished university education and supply society with competent specialists in the field of work and scientific research who are able to compete in the labor market.
Mission
The department is committed to preparing and developing programs aimed at producing distinguished graduates and scientific researchers at the undergraduate level, and it also provides a distinguished educational and research community service for the undergraduate level in mathematics.
